Our Human Capital professionals specialize in integrating people issues with business strategy. We have the depth and breadth to assist with large-scale change in ownership and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) installations, as well as singular program designs and ongoing actuarial evaluations. Ultimately, our mission is to enhance our client's performance, productivity and profitability.
Our Actuarial & Insurance Solutions Group assist insurance providers in virtually all aspects of insurance, financial services, financial analysis in planning and in underwriting, claims and actuarial operations and supporting technology. We employ data mining analyses to determine our clients' key success drivers.Engagements involve reserve analyses, including Statements of Actuarial Opinion, pricing, mergers and acquisitions,
financial modeling, new product development, strategic planning, and audit support. Responsibilities also include assistance in financial management of client engagements, project management through utilization of project management tools, gathering and analysis of data, assisting in development of proposals and collateral marketing and sales materials, and knowledge management through research of LOTUS Notes, Internet, and other data sources. Manager must also participate in recruiting, training, mentoring, and development of department personnel.
Travel represents 10% to 50% of the job depending on projects on which Consultants works.
Required Technical Skills:
Exams under the Casualty Actuarial Society
Proficiency using computer software such as Excel, Word, Access, and VBA
BS in Actuarial Science or Mathematics related field
7 or more years experience as a property and casualty actuary
5 or more years consulting experience
Strong analytical, written
and verbal communication, and client management skills
Effective listening and questioning skills
Strong business ethics, ability to maintain independence and objectivity in client dealings
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Detailed exposure demonstrating competency with strong organizational skills and little supervision in the areas of:
Statutory/GAAP reporting, regulation, and compliance, Actuarial Standards of Practice
SAP, FASB, GASB and related accounting principles
Standard and advanced reserving methods
Pricing and cost allocation methods
Insurance/reinsurance company operations
Product development
Data sources/modeling
