Healthcare - Medcial Billing Specialist
Classification: Temporary Compensation: $15 to $18 per hour A healthcare facility in Pasadena is currently experiencing a high demand for experienced medical billers. Responsible for the analysis of patient records and determining the legitimacy of treatment, diagnostic testing, admissions, etc. Must have a detailed knowledge and understanding of ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS coding classification systems, be familiar with medical terminology and its applications, be familiar with insurance rules and regulations. Knowledge of managed care contracts, workers' compensation legal requirements, and fee schedules may be required. Knowledge of computerized billing software (e.g. MDX, Medisoft, IDX, Edicom, Meditech, HBOC, Prime Clinical, Primus, Medical Manager, etc) is required.
