Grants Program Specialist

Key Role:Complete federal grants fiscal analysis tasks by performing various activities designed to ensure complete and timely reviews of audit reports, financial statements, disallowances, and non-federal share matches. Participate in financial operations and demonstrate expertise in researching statutes, legislation, regulations, and directives that govern the financial aspects of a government agency. Provide project and task management expertise in a variety of activities, including assessing current internal processes, developing grantee profiles, including funding and enrollment and general programmatic data, and support post-review activities. Perform quality assurance on draft review reports to ensure proper regulatory citations and identify trends emerging from the field reports. Apply knowledge of federal grant guidelines, including those of the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, and Head Start programs.



Job Requirements













Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with grants management, accounting, and financial operations


-Knowledge of federal grant guidelines, including for HHS, ACF, and Head Start programs


-Knowledge of fund accounting and the interrelationship of the delivery of federal programmatic and financial elements a plus


-Ability to review federal audit reports, financial statements, disallowances, and non-federal share matches

-Ability to be a professional team player


-Possession of excellent task management, computer, and organizational skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills required


-Ability to pay strict attention to detail required


-BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
