Government Contract AR Specialist/Biller

Purpose:
My client, a large, reputable and progressive DoD contractor, is looking to add a talented Government Contract AR Specialist/Biller to their team. Position provides an excellent opportunity for stability, career advancement and growth.

Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for:

-Participating in new contract startup meetings

-Set up Projects in the Costpoint financial system (no previous experience necessary and will train on project setup)

-Process accurate monthly and semi-monthly invoice generation, based on contract requirements for cost plus, time & material and fixed price contracts

-Reconciliation of unbilled accounts receivable

-Interface with Program Managers and Project Control

-Assist with the AR collections process as needed

Skills/Experience:
The successful candidate must have the necessary background or work experience in a government contracting environment. Candidate must be a self-starter who has the confidence and skill set to work independently on the activities listed above. Candidate must possess good communication and people skills. Ideal candidate must be detail oriented and have the ability to work directly with the applicable project managers and project control.

Background and Experience: (including education, skills, work activities)

(a) Minimum required:

2-3 years of applicable billing experience in a government contracting environment. Working knowledge of Excel a must and Costpoint strongly preferred. Candidate must be dependable and detail oriented.

Secret Clearance preferred but must be eligible to obtain a DOD clearance.Classification:Full-TimeCompensation:
