Job Description:
The Deployment Coordinator is responsible for supporting the deployment requirements on assigned projects, ensuring deployment materials are created and suitable for Area/country deployment. This position includes opportunities to understand key technology challenges, contribute to global technology initiatives, and broaden skills in a wide range of technologies. Responsibilities Provide internal consulting and services to facilitate best practices for clients. Work directly with the client to identify efficient and effective business change solutions that accomplish client business goals. Produce a wide variety of client communications documentation, system documentation, training materials, marketing materials, newsletters, and information releases. Plan deployment of technology solutions; this includes identifying all required components, establishing reasonable deadlines and outlining action steps to be taken. Produce a plan that defines the scope of the effort, and identifies the risks, dependencies, milestones of deliverables. Utilize technical writing, technology, and engineering knowledge to provide effective and efficient deployment solutions. Ensure that requirements and solutions support the client's business function and goals. Maintain a broad awareness of technology, communications and software delivery requirements. Produce timely project summaries and reports for clients and department management. This position includes opportunities to: Understand the key technology challenges affecting the firm. Contribute to global technology initiatives that will enable the firm to better provide services to our clients; with a concentrated focus on technology solutions for the Global AABS service line Broaden skills in a wide range of technologies and project management. Provide exposure to cultural differences that affect how we work in a global firm. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities: Reporting to the Deployment Coordination team manager Understanding of the Area/country and business needs and requirements through all phases of the project. Contributing to deployment-planning information and status updates to project team and Deployment Coordination manager. Working closely with product managers and engineering teams to develop the deployment processes for technology solutions, including tracking of deployment status across all Areas/countries. Assisting with the coordination of pilot, quality assurance/user acceptance phases of the project, which includes planning, analyzing feedback, and agreement of actions required Maintaining consistency of deployment deliverables across technology solutions Creating and reviewing technology deployment documentation and communications to all Areas/countries Facilitating a network of deployment leaders representing all Areas/countries Serve as Global IT subject matter expert for service line technology groups when assistance or guidance outside of deployment is requiredErnst & Young LLP, an equal opportunity employer, values the diversity of our work force and the knowledge of our people.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Education: - a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience Experience: - approximately 3-5 of related experience (1-3 years project management experience) Skills: - excellent client service, interpersonal, facilitation, organizational, and project management skills - strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal - ability to negotiate, persuade, and influence others - the ability to work and team effectively with clients and other management personnel - excellent independent judgment; excellent creative and high-level analysis skills - ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast paced environment - knowledge and understanding of technology including infrastructure and enterprise applications - sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, and decision-making ability - flexible approach to hours required, culturally sensitive and aware; occasional domestic travel - solid research and analytical skills - good management, interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills - proficiency in Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes applications and MS Project - flexible approach to hours required, culturally sensitive and aware. - occasional Domestic travel required
