Staff Accountant Our client, in downtown Chicago is seeking an experienced accountant.
Some job responsibilities will include:


Preparing month-end bank reconciliations and journal entries

Coordinating payroll journal entries including monthly bonus accruals

Resolve reconciling items and propose solutions for incorrect journals errors

Support special projects in the organization's accounting and finance department

Investigate inaccurate accounts payable balances

Produce financial reports such as variance analysis and metric reporting

The ideal candidate will have:

BS in Accounting or Finance

1-2 years of professional work related experience

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills

Intermediate Excel skills, with a basic working knowledge of Access preferred

Solid verbal & written communication skills

Ability to work independently, as well as in a team atmosphere
