General Ledger Supervisor

This person will be a key member of the Finance department and will be involved in the day-to-day control of our Retail Finance operation. This person will also be responsible for the following:
- Coordinate consolidation of all business units financial performance and report to our Corporate Finance department on the results
-Supervise and coordinate work responsibilities of 3 staff accountants
-Assist with forecasting and budgeting trends and assumptions
- Improve quality and timeliness of financial reporting
- Enhance reporting to focus on key performance indicators, trends and opportunities
- Build "value-added" analysis into decisions and reporting
- Daily and weekly analytical reporting requirements
- Ad-hoc reporting requirements as requested
- Assist with period end closing practices and the devlopment of necessary reports
needed to substantiate the financial picture
- Coverage of key areas and responsibilities during vacations and holidays
REQUIREMENTS
.Four year degree in Accounting or Finance
.CPA certification definitely a plus
.Must have strong communication skills
.Must have a high degree of analytical skills with experience using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
.PeopleSoft experience a defininte plus
