PricewaterhouseCoopers Human Resource Services practice is one of the world’s largest HR, actuarial, and tax consulting businesses, with over 6,000 professionals worldwide. We partner with clients who aim to make their people a sustainable source of competitive advantage. We currently have an opportunity for a Manager -level Benefits Attorney within our Tax and Regulatory practice in our New York office.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Leverage your strong technical ability of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, as well as a range of health and welfare and employee benefit issues, to provide solutions to our clients Extensive development and maintenance of client relationships Work closely with the PwC Tax professionals to provide benefits and compensation expertise Develop new business and expand on opportunities with existing clients Spear head many technical tasks such as: plan design, drafting and compliance reviews, ERISA, implementation of plan mergers and terminations, review of government reports and filings, executive compensation and tax programs
REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
JD degree required LL.M. or CPA preferredEssential Requirements:
5+ years of experience working with regulatory/compliance/technical aspects of qualified, health and welfare and nonqualified plans in a law firm or consulting environment JD degree required, LL.M. or CPA preferred Experience with drafting, designing, testing, IRS filings and governmental compliance programs Strong tax research and analytical skills and experience working with complex tax issues. Proven record of developing new business Demonstrated client responsibility and/or management including handling client meetings and presentations as well as project management skills Strong leader and team player Ability to manage own workflow as well as oversee the work of others. Interest in developing new ways to apply analytical skills to business problems and working in multi-disciplined environment
