Financial Specialist

Responsibilities: The candidate will be involved with all aspects of asset valuations. This includes on-site due diligence, management interviews, analysis of industry positioning and projected recovery under a liquidation or merger/acquisition scenario. This person will ensure the production of the highest quality product, while exceeding client expectations with respect to professionalism and expediency. This person will assist the financial analyst team with new and repeat appraisal business, as well as analytical support for other complex financial products; develop field packages to prepare field appraisers to conduct due diligence of assets on-site; and assist the financial analyst team in the preparation of client-ready written reports including the summarization of consultant field evaluations and discussion of appropriate valuation assumptions. This person will conduct numerous analyses pertaining to sales capacity, expense structure, discount and markdown strategies, merchandise mix, and investment returns; report analysis results to management as determined by historical precedent and departmental analysis guidelines. This person will analyze companies industry positioning and financial performance, including inventory, asset and operational performance; evaluate productivity, efficiency and profitability while developing a qualitative understanding of the nuances that might affect asset values. This will include findings in written report; review with management and client. This person will assist with researching the retail, consumer products and other industry sectors; proactively communicate to management important events and/or possible business leads that may impact or generate deals for other divisions.
