Financial Services Accountant

Financial Services Accountants Needed Immediately!!!
One of our financial services clients is looking for 4 financial services accountants for different roles in different areas of the firm. All four have similar educational and experience requirements, but each position is somewhat different. Each role is available immediately, are considered long-term (6+ months) and all of them are located in New York City. Below are the descriptions for all four jobs, followed by the requirements.

Job #1 (Accountant):
Financial services accountant needed to work on the following:
General ledger analysis, journal entries, assist with reporting and month end closes. Knowledge of footnotes and disclosures are a plus. This position is available with a growing department and needs immediate long-term assistance. Five-plus years of experience required.

Job #2 (Accountant):
Financial services accountant needed to work on the following:
Recording monthly revenue and expenses. Perform daily reconciliations of individual's P&Ls. Responsible for monitoring transaction activity and perform account reconciliation.
Work with front office to confirm accuracy and booking of trades. Strong Excel required. Experience working with Hyperion Essbase a plus! Five-plus years of experience required.

Job #3 (Accountant):
Regulatory accountant needed to work on the following:
Monitor regulatory and firmwide reporting for various entities. Review daily Trial Balance from PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft is highly preferred! Ensure proper postings to the General Ledger for derivative transaction. Clear outstanding failures and trade enrichment errors. Produce daily break reports. Reconcile multiple Balance Sheet accounts. Seven-plus years experience required. Prior derivatives experience needed.

Job #4 (Budget Analyst):
Budget Analyst needed to work on the following:
Work on 2007 budgets and strategic planning for multiple departments. Candidate must have strong analytical skills, very strong Excel and Access skills. Prior experience working in a similar role is needed. Client prefers seven-plus years of experience, but is open on this if the right candidate comes along.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.Prior experience in an investment bank or large private bank and/or public accounting.Excellent excel skills, preferably experience with vlookups, pivot tables and/or macros.Willingness to work overtime.
