Financial Reporting (SOX) Analyst

Support the Director of Financial Reporting in the preparation of SEC documents to ensure accurate reporting to the SEC, which includes the following reports: earnings press release, Form 10Q, Form 10K and any 8-K filings as required. Assist with compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 internal control process and other technical accounting research and analysis.




Duties will Include:


Financial Reporting:


Prepare the monthly consolidated financial statements.


Assist in preparing the Company’s earnings press releases, Form 10-Q, Form 10-K as well as any registration statements.


Assist with preparation of work papers and other information for quarterly reviews and annual financial audits.


Assist with the preparation and review of financial presentations for senior management and Board of Directors.


Compile and review certain corporate quarter-end reports.



Section 404 Compliance:


Assist in monitoring and updating documentation of primary controls and testing plans.


Perform walkthroughs and testing of certain significant processes at the Company’s Divisions.


Review documentation and results of testing procedures.


Assist in maintaining the accuracy of the Company's documentation of policies and procedures.



Other Duties:


Assist the Director of Corporate Reporting with FIN 46 analyses and documentation.


Perform research of accounting questions/topics as they arise.


Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested.






Qualifications


Candidates Will Need to Meet the Following Qualifications:


Must have at least 2 years of experience with a large public accounting firm (preferably at one of the “Big 4”).


Experience in SEC and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 is preferred but not required.


Should be a very detail orientated individual. Must have a strong track record of maintaining exceptional accuracy when performing highly detailed work for extended period of times.


Strong communication skills are needed. Must clearly demonstrate the ability to effectively express one’s ideas and message both verbally and in written format.


Will need to have a solid track record of maintaining effective relationships, even when working through conflicts.


Should be highly proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Project. Experience with JD Edwards accounting software is desirable, but not required.


Must have a CPA license and a Bachelor (4 year) Degree in Accounting or related field.
