Financial Reporting Representative-Mutual Fund

This position will function as a critical link between customer user groups and Merrill Corporation’s product support team. The individual will work proactively with customer personnel at all levels in supplementing the support group to; provide training, development and project management, identify situations in which the Merrill systems are not being used optimally and make recommendations on how to better leverage the Merrill systems.1. Financial Reporting Consultant: As financial reporting issues arise on the floor that cannot be resolved among customer team members, this person could be used as a resource to help in troubleshooting issues to determine if maintenance is needed, or if there are other ways to resolve the issue.2. Customer Service: Possess exceptional customer service skills while under general supervision, determines and/or resolves complex customer complaints with existing system(s) and responds with suggestions for improvements and/or enhancements. Interface with appropriate technical department(s) to determine exact nature of problem and implements remedial procedures for customer. Document customer problems and take corrective procedures. Attend on-going training sessions to maintain a high level of technical skill.3. Project Management: a. Confer with client to determine project requirements and constraints. Identify areas of concern. Refer concerns to appropriate staff for resolution and follow-up. b. Communicate system and schedule requirements to client and follow-up when requirements are not met. c. Coordinate tasks between team members to ensure design is followed and schedule is met. d. Set assignments and schedules within support teams. Advise department manager when additional resources are required. e. Prepare status reports to client, team manager, sales, and product manager as required. f. Provide performance feedback to team manager. g. Understand development of Financial Statements, Financial Highlights and Schedule of Investments templates. h. Troubleshoot templates to locate errors and resolve errors expeditiously. i. Comprehend data download requirements. Prepare specification for preprocessor.
4. Template Developer: This person would work on template requests that are critical and need to be completed in a short time-frame. Any template work requests would still need to be recorded so that this time can be tracked.5. Trainer: This person would be called on to provide floor training on the system in conjunction with customer trainers. This person would help assess the competencies of customer staff and make topical needs based training recommendations to the customer training team.6. Fund Analysis Specialist: Analyze printed books to determine requirements of design. Work with customer staff and clients with all questions and book design changes. Perform Fund Analysis for new clients to determine the templates and development required and prepare Estimates for this work. Assist in obtaining the Discovery items needed to set up new clients for customization.
REQUIREMENTS
