Risk Reporting & Finance, a group within Risk Management Services, is responsible for reporting, analyzing and providing commentary on the composition of risks across the firm, used by audiences both internally and externally.
Within the Risk Reporting & Finance team, we are looking to fill an associate role on the External Reporting team. This person is primarily responsible for the end to end ownership of external (e.g. 10K/10Q) wholesale credit risk, but the scope of the role also includes other risk areas such as external market risk disclosures and internal wholesale credit risk. The role entails working in close partnership with Investor Relations, the firm's SEC Reporting team, the wholesale credit risk organization, businesses with wholesale credit risk exposure (i.e. the Investment Bank, Commercial Banking, Asset & Wealth Management, and Treasury & Securities Services) and internal and external audit.
For reporting provided externally, the group's work includes the writing and formulation of the risk sections of the Annual Report, 10-Q's and quarterly earnings release supplements, which are filed with the SEC and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404).
Topics covered within both the internal and external reports include portfolio composition measures, ratings profiles, derivative exposure and sensitivities, peer comparisons, financial performance, exposures against limits, and other risk analyses. Note, in addition to these recurring reports, the group also fields many requests for one-off research projects and analyses.
