Color Spot Nurseries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Manager, Financial Planning and Cost for a multimillion-dollar, multi-location company. This position is based out of our Fallbrook, California facility. The Manager, Financial Planning and Cost will be responsible for providing guidance, analysis and reports to senior level management (CEO, COO, CFO, etc.) as well as facility management for the planning and budgeting process. The qualified candidate will have a hands-on leadership personality who can foster and develop a team environment to identify business needs for the company and streamline current processes.


Position description:

This position will bear responsibility to provide consultative support to guide and facilitate strategic business objectives and manage the financial planning, forecasting and cost processes. The candidate will develop and maintain financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis using the accounting system, database reporting applications and spreadsheets.

What you will be responsible for:

•Managing the Annual Planning process and Quarterly Forecasting
•Work closely with Corporate and Operations Controllers to provide information to Senior Management including variance analysis, trend reports and integration of plan to performance
•Development of tools and processes to enhance financial forecasting accuracy.
•Work directly with Sales Planning Dept. to ensure completeness and accurateness of Revenue Plan and integration to forecasting process
•Oversee SAP Cost Group including comprehending and providing guidance to respective functions and perform as back up in these functions as needed.
•Ad-hoc financial analysis including compilation of financial data across multiple business areas including best practices
•Perform special projects as required, such as spearheading and conducting special reports on select sites
REQUIREMENTS
What we will be looking for:

•5 to 10 years financial analysis/accounting experience
•Moderate to Advance SAP experience including Finance and Controlling modules
•Strong computer skills including advanced Excel skills
•Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
•The ability to drive projects to successful conclusion with minimal supervision
•Candidate should be highly organized with good time management skills and have the ability to work well under tight deadlines
•Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment, prioritizing, and follow through
•Well developed personal skills with the ability to work effectively, individually and in a team environment
