Financial Manager/Accountant
CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD, the preeminent international commercial real estate services firm with approximately 200 offices in 60 countries around the world, has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant in San Francisco.
This position works closely with the client to analyze their property expenses and reduce their overall cost through financial planning. This person is also responsible for cash projections, budgeting, reforecasting, financial reporting.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare monthly reforecast for all portfolio operations using the Yardi accounting software to produce detailed numbers with narrative. Compare reforecast to actual and recommend adjustments to project spending.
Prepare net present value analysis of potential capital projects. Analyze projects for cost benefit from a buy- sell-lease standpoint.
Prepare monthly reporting to clients, including accrual basis financial statements, variance explanations, and other supplemental information as required. Prepares and provides management with supporting documentation for management statements.
Review client funding requests with supporting documentation.
Review upload of monthly financial information to clients accounting department.
Prepares annual Operating Expense Reconciliations, including review of tenant leases to ensure accurate billings.
Reviews bank reconciliations, and distributes funds requested in accordance with established procedures.
Prepares annual budgets, annual audits and fiscal year-end close.
Performs various related accounting functions as requested.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a BS in Business, Accounting, or related field. Five years+ experience in the accounting or financial field, focusing on balance sheet analysis and P&L results. Excellent lease administration skills required. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles as they apply to the recording of real estate transactions. Graduate work or CPA certification preferred. Minimum of three years supervisory/management experience. Strong computer skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
