Financial Management specialist (Federal gov't experience req'd)

We have a contract to hire position in Springfield, VA.

We are searching for individuals with experience in
federal financial management and analysis,
particularly DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting,
and Execution (PPBE) and budget execution.

These positions support financial management efforts
within the Department of Defense.
Responsibilities will focus on either the Planning/Programming
or the Budget/Execution phase of the PPBE process and may
include tracking and verifying financial status in various
DoD financial systems; researching and preparing data for
financial and program reviews; and, identifying funds
available for reprogramming or recoupment and taking
appropriate action. Experience and knowledge of DFAS financial
processes is a plus.

This role allows a person to work with clients in a consultative manner,
helping them solve problems based upon his/her team's creative solutions.
This individual will work on site at the Pentagon.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:

* 4+ years in a U.S. Federal accounting or DoD financial management role to include either budget preparation or budget execution and/or analysis.

* A minimum of an Undergraduate degree in an accounting or business-related discipline

Desired Qualifications:

* CGFM, CPA, Federal Governmental Accounting and Financial Statements are considered a plus

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
