What you'll do
Financial Consultants at RBC Dain Rauscher specialize in building and managing wealth, generating retirement income plans and creating legacies for the future. In addition to developing and executing a business plan to acquire and develop your clients, you will:
-Learn about your clients' hopes and dreams for the future
(what they want to save and invest for)
-Understand their unique financial personalities
(current financial picture, awareness of financial concepts,
tolerance for risk, timeframe etc.)
-Developing strategies to address client needs
(leveraging the firm's expertise to suggest and approach
what is right for the client)
-Implement thoughtful and creative solutions
(selling financial products like equities and bonds, mutual
funds, alternative investments, insurance policies, trusts
etc).
-Provide timely, ongoing service
(reviewing and updating the solutions you provide, based on
your clients' changing lives).
About our development program
Once you complete our Financial Consultant professional development program, you'll be prepared to build your business and have the opportunity to create an unlimited income potential. During training, however, we want you to focus on our development program curriculum, because it will give you the solid foundation you should use to build your future success. That's why we provide a negotiated training salary that is comparable to your recent earnings-plus generous benefits-from day one.
During your first year, you will earn Series 7, 66 and insurance licenses, which are paid for by the firm. Along with licensing your training will include:
-Client prospecting tools and ideas, consultative selling,financial consulting and marketing ideas for your business from our national experts
-Receiving more in-depth knowledge about retirement plans, mutual funds, equities, bonds, trusts, annuities, insurance, fee-based accounts and alternative investments

You'll work in a branch office with other investment professionals like you. So even though you'll be in business for yourself, you'll have a broad network of resources you can tap into for assistance, and expertise so you will never be on your own.

We also provide many tools and ongoing training to help maintain your competitive edge.
