Financial Analyst for Real Estate Developer
America Development, formed in 2001, is a commercial real estate company which specializes in identifying and creating investment opportunities in medical office, healthcare services and mixed use developments. The Company has successfully developed seven projects in the southern and western United States with current projects being developed in Texas, California and Hawaii.
The Company develops various types of properties including single tenant buildings which offer ownership in the medical services, multiple tenant office buildings with ownership opportunities in services such as cancer, surgery and imaging centers as well as offices for doctors. Recently the Company expanded into developing inpatient rehabilitation hospitals on behalf of experienced operators. Additionally, America Development is involved in developing with mixed-use projects across the county.
From site selection to construction management, America Development offers services that encompass the whole development process. The services we offer include, but are not limited to: pre-development activities (site selection, site layout, building design, coordination of the civil engineer), construction management (shell building architect engagement, general contractor engagement, and in some cases the sub-contractors, all details of the tenant finish processes), sales and marketing, financial (construction and permanent loan financing), accounting (financial statement preparation, construction draws), legal (partnership and lease document preparation) and property management (move-ins for tenants, as well as a resource or referral for everything a tenant might need for their space from computers to files to furniture).
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
•Assist with budgeting, cash flow projections and additional analysis for both new and existing projects.
•Provide IRR analysis for potential investors and partnership syndications.
•Build and update financial models as necessary.
•Prepare and compile monthly investor reports.
•Assist with early fund raising activities for equity investment.
•Perform ad-hoc financial reporting as necessary.
•Support financial related requests from Construction and Marketing Departments.
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a self starter with a strong financial background and the ability to multi-task to work in our fast paced environment.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, business or related field
•1-3 years of financial modeling experience
•Excellent analytical / reasoning ability
•High degree of self driven initiative – Self Motivated
•Extensive knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
•Excellent written, communication and organizational skills
•Experience in real estate is a plus
