JOB SUMMARY:



This position reports to the Director of Business Ventures and is responsible for the financial analysis of a variety of strategic and tactical initiatives and special projects requiring quantitative analysis skills. This position is also responsible for being the key point of contact for financial reporting and control matters to internal, external auditors and regulators.

DUTIES AND TASKS:

1. Partner with functional leaders in preparing various analyses for presentation to internal and external auditors and regulators.

2. Support the Financial Planning & Analysis team and Corporate Business Planning in presentations to senior management, as needed.

3. Contribute to continual improvement and automation of analysis tools and infrastructure to reduce production time and increase value added analysis of underlying business issues.

4. Perform detailed claim analysis to maximize high dollar reinsurance claims recovery on a quarterly basis.

5. Additional duties/projects as assigned that will enhance operational results through disciplined, focused and robust financial analysis.

6. Assist in monitoring Guardian joint venture internal controls and assist in preparing monthly Guardian analysis and reports.

REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS:



Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business; Advanced degree preferred

Certification/License:

Professional accreditation a plus

Experience:

5+ years relevant experience. Financial analysis, budgeting and forecast

5+ Years-accounting experience preferred.

Health Care Industry (5+ years) - Risk contracting experience highly desired

Budget development experience desired

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficient MS Excel skills required; MS Access skills highly desirable

Financial statement development and analysis - understanding of underlying financial and accounting processes required

Effective communication and organization skills required for this position which regularly communicates with all levels of management and external constituents
