Financial Analyst/Sr. Financial Analyst

American Italian Pasta Co., North America's largest pasta manufacturer has two finance department opportunities available due to growth and promotion. We are seeking a Financial Analyst and a Sr. Financial Analyst. Both roles will support the assigned Strategic Business Units (SBU’s) with functions relating to P&L analysis, Private Label Price List maintenance, Hyperion data management, and monthly reporting analyses and data retrieval. Provide SBU commercial managers with a full spectrum of financial support ranging from profit forecasting and variance analysis, pricing analysis, to maintaining the financial elements of contracts. There will also be selected special projects required from this position.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Lead the process of developing Volume, Pricing, Commodity prices and VCM/CM forecasts for Annual Budget and Mid-year LE updates in the assigned SBU
Lead the reporting and analysis of actual results for the SBU vs. targets with actual results for volume/mix/spending drivers by brand, area, customer, etc. – the understanding of trends in actual results utilized to guide future action plans and enhance predictability of future results
Develop economic analyses of new products and new customers consistent with the Commercialization Process.
Lead projects as assigned with a focus on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Business.
Assist the Commercial leaders with the process of tracking customer specific commodity coverage and changing pasta prices based on changes in the commodity coverage for SBU’s with pass through pricing
Perform reconciliations of forecasted performance versus actual results.
Review ASP’s each month to ensure that there are no significant variances by SKU versus the current forecast
Special Analysis related to new business or category viability as well as selected competitive analysis

REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS degree in finance or accounting
Minimum 5 years experience, ideally in the consumer product industry.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally.
Requires effective interaction with Executive Management and across the Finance organization
Ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines
Excellent data system affinity with ability to work with and learn new systems. Experience with Microsoft Office applications is essential and experience with and Hyperion -Essbase database is desirable. High level of proficiency in Excel required.
