Financial Analyst (Healthcare/Pharmacy)

Primary responsibilities include:



Pulling membership, revenue, and pharmacy claim data from our data warehouse
Utilizing data to conduct standard reporting on business metrics or perform ad-hoc analysis based on requests from management
Gaining an understanding of reimbursement rates within our pharmacy network
Analyzing members' usage patterns of generic brand drugs
Measuring and monitoring member out-of-pocket expenditures and related cost ratios against product pricing assumptions
Developing recommendations to avoid or reduce negative trends
Supporting the finance department with the month-end close
Evaluating current drug utilization patterns to adjust forward-looking forecasts
Supporting the underwriting team by assisting to price RFPs
Creating pro forma financial models to support business development projects

Job Requirements:

A data warehouse and analytics background is required, as is solid finance and/or accounting experience. Candidates should have experience working in a large corporate-type environment. A healthcare background is preferred. Solid MS Office proficiency is a must. Pharmacy experience is a plus.
