Financial Analyst - Government Accounting

Our client is in need of a Plant Controller for its Owensboro, KY location. Successful candidate will lead a group of 8-10 accounting professionals. Candidate will work closely with Plant Manager, and reports into a Division President.

Responsibilities include:

Provide senior financial leadership at the plant including all accounting, planning and analysis. Direct, plans validate all accounting key metric activities to ensure proper reporting of plant operations. Identify and resolve reporting discrepancies, whether policy or system related. Ensure a system of strong internal controls is in place. Analyze plant financial results, while providing recommendations to maintain and improve overall plant performance. Plan and develop plant annual operating capital budgets and monthly forecasts that meet desired cost, service and quality objectives. Ensure the integrity of product standard costs. Direct payroll activities to ensure proper payment of wages, adherence to all policies the proper distribution of labor hours and dollars.

System conversion experience is a plus. The plant has recently gone through a system conversion to a ROSS ERP system which is 80%-90% complete.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate should have 8-plus years experience working in a major plant facility. The Chicago Plant is responsible for 100mm in sales. Consumer products industry experience is a plus.

MBA or CPA preferred
