Financial Analyst - Englewood, CO

The position is located in Englewood, CO



The purpose of the department is presenting financial analysis of trends and key issues and enhancing shareholder value, driving results through analysis and consulting, assisting in the safeguards of company assets, providing timely and accurate external reporting, optimizing cash flows.



The scope of this job is to develop, maintain and analyze operational and statistical data to be used for business analysis. This position will manage a measurement framework that identifies emerging issues and assists senior management in developing strategies for corrective action. Emphasis will be placed on the individual’s ability to affect results through consulting relationships within the region. This individual will also facilitate the development of business strategy and further translate this business strategy into goals that guide integrated operational plans.



The individual will be responsible for:



Creating models to track financial data and prepare written narratives and/or presentations to explain the outcomes of this data to management and peers.
Providing financial analysis to identify regional trends and participate in the formation of financial plans and forecasts
Leveraging technical skills in supporting the implementation of strategic team objectives.
Leveraging consultation skills to drive business results.


REQUIREMENTS
The skills required are:



Advanced - Must possess exceptional oral and written communication skills as he/she will be interacting with internal and external customers.
Advanced - Ability to multi-task and exhibit effective time management and organizational skills.
Intermediate - Must possess basic training and coaching skills to cross train peers.



Experience Required:


1-2 years of relevant experience required, 3+ years preferred. In order to advance the ideal individual may have to rotate to different geographical areas throughout the United States during their career at Allstate.



Computer Proficiency:


The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Excel spreadsheets including the ability to create, manipulate, and formulate spreadsheets. He/she should be able to create PowerPoint graphs, tables, and information reports in slide form. Experience using SAP and Access based databases is a plus.




Education:


Masters/MBA - Preferred
Major preference: Finance, Mathematics, Accounting or business related field and a minimum GPA of 3.5 is preferred.
