Financial Analyst

Responsibilities:
Develop, recommend, and track metrics to promote financial & operational accountability while analyzing to industry best practice and benchmarks.
Perform trending and analysis around performance and severity measures.
Identifies opportunities and performs cost benefit analysis; working as part of project teams as a subject matter expert.
Develop the plan for selecting opportunities, defining the measure of success, and implementing process improvements.
Identify and analyze opportunities to optimize operational and financial drivers.
Identify and coordinate projects that will increase efficacy and lead to greater productivity.
Work across Claims, Customer Care and other organizations to ensure financial and metric processes are developed and maintained in a fashion consistent with the overall organizations objectives.
Help further enhance the overall business excellence mission through regular review of group activities and projects.Skills/ Qualifications Required:
3 - 5+ years of demonstrated work experience in metric and financial analysis
A BS/BA degree in finance/accounting; an MBA and Professional certifications such as CPA/CFA preferred
Strong written and verbal communications skills and experience in representing complex data sets
Project management skills
Prior focus on process excellence/outsourcing analysis preferred
Advanced PC skills across the entire Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated expertise in business analysis, trending
Knowledge of financial and metric tools (Hyperion Essbase, Probe) preferred
Ability to consistently and thoroughly comprehend a big picture view of issues while still paying attention to the details
