Job Description:
Specific Requirements:
Financial Analysis

Compiles and analyzes financial information for the General Motors business segment of SV I IS and current new non-DCX business, including the preparation and analysis of business cases.

Assists in the preparation of quotations and cost analyses for the GM business segment and new non-DCX business.

Assist in the coordination of analysis activities for the GM segment, ABH location and Huntsville Focus Factory such as:

actual to forecast variance explanations.

profit and loss account review

balance sheet reconciliation

Planning/Reporting

Assists in the design, documentation and implementation of various integrated systems and applications for periodic and ad hoc financial reporting, utilizing data from SAP and other reporting databases.

Maintains project accounting reporting system

Miscellaneous

Designs, coordinates and implements divisional accounting policies and procedures within the organization including reporting and analysis tools.

Coordinates risk management and transfer price setting for assigned projects.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

General Requirements:

BA in Finance or Accounting

MBA in Business with emphasis in Finance or International Business preferred.

CPA desirable Experience: Reporting and Consolidation, Cost Accounting/Analysis, IT projects, Manufacturing experience 4-7 years.

Skills:

Advanced level in Excel, Access

Ability to plan, implement and administer financial information and control systems

Team player, self starter and assertive

SAP FI and CO experience preferred

Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to professional personnel in area of expertise

Ability to compile, analyze, interpret and present complex annual financial reports, statements and/or projections.

Knowledge of a range of automated financial systems and applicatons software.

Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting as related to a public institution.

Database management skills
