Financial Analyst (4-5 month CONTRACT Assignment)

Large Pharmaceutical Company seeks a Financial Analyst for a 4-5 month CONTRACT assignment. Candidate MUST meet all requirements below to be contacted for this position. Senior Financial Analyst: Provide financial services and business support to Operations Headquarters, including the VP of Business Services and the VP of Operations. Support all planning, estimating and budgeting efforts associated with these activities. Measure and report financial performance related to these activities. Assist in the consolidation of the overall Operations HQ roll-up during RBU/ABU and month-end closing processes. Make financial transactions systems accessible and useful for Operations Headquarters personnel.
Provide all required financial support to leadership of assigned units, coordinating such activities with other members of the Financial Planning & Analysis group.
- Ensure that all applicable accounting, reporting and controls activities are in compliance with and adhere to existing policies & procedures including SOX 404 and Financial Controls Framework
- Support planning, reporting and analysis of financial performance in each area with major emphasis on the Business Services area of Operations (includes Facilities, Engineering, Corporate Services, and Procurement)
- Design reports and processes that support the area of responsibility
- Assist in US HUB process with regards to allocations, reporting, required journal entries acting as the primary contact for R&D finance liaisons with regards to this subject
- Assist the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager with the consolidation of the overall Operations HQ roll-up
- Support enterprise wide capability projects work including; expense tracking, coordination with vendors, customers and financial liaisons and preparation of periodic ad hoc reports
- Review propriety of invoice coding, A/P distribution reports, etc. Prepare and enter journal entries.
Analyze results as required.
- Participate on the Business Warehouse (BW) Power User group and provide primary support to the Operations HQ Finance group on BW matters
- Assist in the business case development for capital projects as required
- Assist in the validation of and tracking of Category Management initiatives for the US Organization

REQUIREMENTS
Degree / College Major: Finance / B.S. Degree in Finance related field. Number of Years Work Experience Required:4 years.
MUST HAVE:
- Minimum 4 years experience in financial analysis or accounting
- Superior customer service and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer modeling and spreadsheet skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal guidelines and meeting of deadlines

Preferred Background
- MBA, CPA or CMA
- Experience in operational setting
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
