For more information about the Company, visit www.gaylordentertainment.com.The financial accounting supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the financial operation and reporting of all managed Homeowner associations. Coordinate the accounts payable, accounts receivable, General Ledger and cash reconciliation functions for all managed associations. Review and approve the monthly account reconciliations. Review and approve the monthly financial statements for all associations managed including individual fund financial statements and the budget to actual comparison. Prepare and distribute annual budgets (in accordance with Florida Statute) and monthly financial reports for each association. Meet with Association managers as needed with particular attention to large budget variances, use of special assessment funds and reserve funding issues. Oversee association fund balances. Ensure special assessment and reserve funds are used only for their intended purposes and in accordance with Florida statue and administrative code. Ensure reserve funding is made in accordance with Florida statute. Assist in coordination of reserve studies and insurance reviews. Coordinate association cash management at the direction of the association boards of directors/councils. Coordinates bank loans for insurance, capital projects or other special needs. Oversee association accounts receivable and payable processes and assist in the establishment of policies and procedures. Review and monitor processing of association reimbursable payroll and other related charges and the appropriate allocation of related costs to the managed properties. Coordinate data collection for annual audits and record retention. Ensure any proposed adjusting entries are posted and provides notice to owners of completion of annual financial statement in accordance with Florida Statute. Responsible for security and control of cash generated by the associations. Address Board/Council members and owner inquiries. Coordinate the pursuit of delinquent accounts in accordance with the Florida Statute and administrative code, associations’ documents and/or Board/Council instruction. Attend HOA board meetings and gives financial presentations. Assist CAM-licensed property managers with accounting questions and issues. Perform financial statement analysis on homeowner association financial statements. Perform forecasting for our homeowner association clients. Responsible for ensuring that homeowner association financials meet GAAP and Florida statutory compliance.
Responsible for making sure income taxes are paid in a timely manner. Also handles miscellaneous local tax returns and issues. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
4 year degree in Accounting
4 or more years experience in accounting with commercial condominium and homeowner associations in Florida.
Knowledge and application of Fla. State 718 and Florida Administrative Code. (condominium law)
