Financial Accounting Manager

Volt Services Group is presently assisting a leading management consulting group in identifying an experienced Financial Accounting Manager Professional to join their organization
Qualified Professional will possess:
Manage a timely and efficient month-end close process with corporate accounting group.
Prepare internal financial statements with explanations of changes and trends.
Review and analyze reconciliation's and journal entries to general ledger accounts to ensure accurate balances are reflected in the financial statements.
Understand and apply accounting policies and create and implement accounting processes with assurance of compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
Ensure that consolidations of foreign financial statements are done properly and in accordance with GAAP.
Manage one or more general accounting functions such as: G/L, A/P, Fixed Assets, Timekeeping, etc.
Function as the liaison between the company and auditors (internal, external, and statutory).
Manages areas of responsibility with a continuous-improvement focus.
Select, develop, mentor, and counsel employees. Handle human resource matters in accordance with established policy and procedure.
Establish work standards, schedules, and ensure implementation. Assign work to employees. Review employee's work for accuracy.


Requirements:

8 to 10 years of accounting experience with a demonstrated record of consistent advancement into more complex and leadership roles.
At least 3 years experience with a publicly traded company,Experience managing a team of professional accountants with different levels of experience.
An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in accounting; Certified Public Accountant or equivalent (may be inactive status) preferred.Must have experience with a large ERP system. Experience with Peoplesoft a plus.A combination of financial, operations, systems, and/or analytical experience is a plus.
