Financial Accountant

Department: Accounting/Finance Job Description: Maintain processes and perform period closing duties for fixed asset accounting.
Ensure timely and accurate filing and payment of property tax returns for multiple states and locations.
Complete sales/use tax returns for multiple state and local municipalities.
Prepare financial statements and analyze variances for certain distribution centers.
Incorporate the quality improvement process within job function, insuring customer requirements, both internal and external, are accomplished.
Implement a strong system of internal controls to insure the safeguarding of assets, compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, and the integrity of financial and operational reporting.
Support cross-functional teams.Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Accounting. 0 - 4 years accounting experience; accounting internships considered. Experience with fixed asset accounting and/or accounts payable accounting.Skill Requirement:
Proficiency in PC applications, particularly Excel. Previous experience with Oracle financial systems is a plus. Previous experience with Oracle financial systems is a plus. Must be self-motivated and work well in a team environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial partners. Ability to work within deadlines, handle stressful situations and pay close attention to detail. Experience in writing and generating financial reports is preferred. Willingness to relocate for advancement opportunities.
