Finance Project Manager

Business Unit: GE MoneyFunction: FinanceResponsibilities: Candidate will report directly to the Controller and be responsible for the projects within the Controllership team related to process improvements. Duties include (but are not limited to): Evaluating and implementing high quality solutions (outsourcing, work-outs, digitization, process redesign) to mitigate risks, while increasing processing speed and productivity
Recommend and implement improvements and changes to resource allocation, process, internal controls, and related systems.
Leading the development of the Whole Loan Sale repository including all relevant information related to each sale to investors.
Leading project to source loan accounting/ securitization subsidiary ledger system and process
Assisting with processes, controls, and automation for the FAS 133 derivative hedge accounting system.
Maintaining strong relationships with WMC's Quality group, financial systems, FPA, Capital Markets
Reduce and improve accounting closing process - reduce manual journal entries, automate reconciliations, reduce/automate schedule, improve sub-ledger coordination
Assisting with process documentation and control enhancements related to WMC's transition to a Federal Savings Bank.~HJ~
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 5 years demonstrating project management skills
