Finance Manager, Donor Relations

Title: Finance Manager, Donor RelationsDepartment: FinanceReports to: VP, Finance and MISFunction: Gift/Pledge Processing and Receivable AdministrationPosition Summary:•Provide strong, positive customer support, utilizing skills of relating, discovering, and advocating in supporting the donors to the annual United Way Community Campaign.•Responsible for all pledge processing (including payments) for UWCA. Develop and sustain current perspective of pledges receivable. Provides research and resolution to inquiries with communication to UWCA staff, donors, companies and other United Way agencies.
•Position provides leadership and direct oversight to all full-time and seasonal/part-time staff within the Finance Department that are involved with pledge processing.•Also, a contributing member of the interdepartmental team, providing support in analyzing and mapping internal processes with the objectives of developing and implementing successful solutions. The person in this position will be considered a “key contact” and is expected to work closely with Access International (“vendor”) and all UWCA departments, especially those persons responsible for maintaining pledge information on the Enterprise/CS database.
•Coordinates, monitors and directs various projects and workflow for assigned staff within department. Provides training and on-going support to staff.•Member of company’s management team. Additional support to VP, Finance and MIS as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:•Minimum of four years of business-related experience.•Background in membership or alumni associations a plus.
•Associates Degree (field of study – business)or greater.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office including,Excel & Word.
•Ability to handle multiple tasks.
•Strong, positive customer service attitude, commitment and enthusiasm.
•Good interpersonal skills.
•Ethical and conscientious.
•Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization, customers and clients.•Math aptitude with knowledge of account balancing.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, personal organization, problem-solving and fact finding skills. Exceptional attention to detail.
