Finance Director/VP

Classification: Full Time Compensation: $100000 to $130000 per year HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO JOIN A PREMIER ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY - VP FINANCE TO $130K.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for preparing and evaluating annual budgets / quarterly re-forecasts for all areas (P&L and Cash Flow).

Present budget / estimates to Senior Management.

Work on the detail development of a 5-year long-range plan.

Report operating results to the respective channel Presidents via a monthly executive report, with a focus on identifying and communicating risks, opportunities and trends.

Work on a daily basis with channel Presidents of all lines of business to discuss financial and strategic issues.

Prepare analysis on potential acquisitions and production activities to determine their return, with an eye on fixed cost containment.

Monitor all channels activity including overhead, headcount, production budgets, studio activity and marketing.

Work in conjunction with channel business development on all channel business plans and strategies.

Ensure proper financial controls and procedures are in place, focusing on compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Key member of the finance executive team that oversees all aspects of the Finance organization.

Manage and train a staff of professionals.

Coordinate submissions with the domestic consolidation and reporting area - timing, compliance with accounting policies / procedures and GAAP.

Monitor studio activities and usage to ensure full absorption of overhead.

Work closely with the Production Audit group to ensure compliance with Production guidelines.

Support Networks Diversity and First Choice initiatives.JOB SKILLS:

Financial analysis/analytical, production accounting and budget/forecasting skills essential

Superb attention to detail and extremely well organized

Ability to manage and train a group of finance individuals

Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management and the Finance organization.
Ability to handle simultaneous projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong technical skills, especially Excel.

Prior experience with Khalix or similar financial systems.EXPERIENCE:

5-10 yr. finance/accounting experience in the television/entertainment industry, knowledge of production accounting esentialEDUCATION:

Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance
