Finance Business Manager

Job Category: Finance / AccountingPosition Description: Responsibilities:This position will work on strategic and operating initiatives that improve efficiencies, leverage scale, reduce costs and/or facilitate revenue growth.Key responsibilities include:
Business process analysis and redesign.
Work directly with subject matter experts to prepare current state analyses. Evaluate processes to identify process inefficiencies and gaps. Document processes using various tools (ie flowcharts, narratives). Reengineer processes to optimize efficiencies. Business case development
Gather business data to develop economic analyses to support opportunities. Present business cases to management. Project management
Responsible for overall project planning including identification of deliverables, responsibilities and milestones. Work with team members to ensure alignment and progress against plans. Data Analysis
Gather and analyze business data (ie, cost, productivity) to support business cases. Identify key performance metrics - benchmark against internal and external best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. MBA preferred. The candidate will have strong general management skills and a proven track record for delivering results, driving change, and managing constituencies. 4-7 years experience working in the following areas - Business case development and presentation; Project management; Business Process Improvement; Financial analysis. Intermediate/Advanced PC skills are required - Excel, Multi-Dimensional database; Data modeling; knowledge of Oracle ERP and Essbase. Operations and technology experience in the media space or publishing industry helpful. Ability to interact with various levels of management and staff across departments. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
