Finance Analyst

Business Unit: GE Industrial, Advanced MaterialsFunction: FinanceResponsibilities: GE Silicones business is a silicones manufacturing business located in Sistersville, WV. It generates $300MM in sales and employs 350 people. This position will provide financial analysis for a the entire site.Essential Functions:
Provide financial analysis and participate in management and financial reviews.
Identify and report key metrics to highlight opportunities and risks.
Partner with operations team to improve business performance.
Recommend actions, prioritize existing project and identify future opportunity driving productivity with operational partners.
Optimize inventory on hand and reserve balances while ensuring accurate inventory accounting.
Serve as Finance lead for physical inventory and cycle counting processes.
Participate in business planning cycles, annual operating plans and monthly and quarterly estimates, closings and reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
Minimum of three years of financial work experience.
Strong analytic skills that allow the ability to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.
Strong ability to think clearly and problem solve in order to successfully lead projects and process improvements within operations/finance function.
Demonstrated solid knowledge and understanding of manufacturing accounting including standard cost systems, product costing, purchase and manufacturing variances.
Excellent communication skills and experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions.
Ability to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand matter both verbally and written.Eligibility Requirements:

Experience with financial systems/applications (ie Oracle, SAP, COGNOS and Business Objects).
Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP.
Experience in working in a matrixed environment.
Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma.
Experience working in a global environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows.
