Federal Accounting/Audit Consultant

BearingPoint, Inc. (NYSE-BE) is one of the world's largest business consulting and systems integration firms dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations.BearingPoint Public Services is currently searching for experienced Federal Accounting Professionals.Individuals will be responsible for working with a large government client as a part of a BearingPoint team member working primarily out of a downtown DC client site location, with on average 50% travel outside of the DC Metro area. Individual will work with BearingPoint and client team members to develop and implement solutions to client challenges.Responsibilities:

Financial and data analysis

Creating both standard and ad hoc reports using Microsoft Office applications

Participate in On-Site Reviews

Audit case files and compare source documentation

Following each review, prepare an audit report, which will reveal BearingPoint's findings.

Candidate will work on site with the client to resolve discrepancies noted during our On-Site ReviewsRequirements:

At least 2 years of experience

US Citizenship required, able to obtain a US Security Clearance

Bachelors Degree

Accounting

Solid skill set and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

General knowledge of accounting information systems

General knowledge of audit procedures

Strong analytical skills

Strong client management skills and strong leadership skills

Able to multi-task efficiently
