MEDICAL BOOKKEEPING

Position Summary: Coordinates processing of posting jackets and daily deposit. Responsible for the distribution of daily work to Patient Account Representatives. Researches and corrects any out of balance situations.

Responsibilities:

*Prepare daily posting jackets for insurance and sites cash receipts

*Verifies insurance jackets after scanning

*Prepares deposits

*Picks up daily mail from post office and physical address box

*Sorts incoming mail and distributes to sites

*Accounts for discrepancies between the bank and Medical Manager

*Informs supervisor of trends

*Maintains and balances the jacket log and cash receipts log on a daily basis

*Cash receipts log is emailed to Director of CBO and NP of Clinical Operations on a daily basis

*Follow processes to ensure that all jackets are scanned in the system.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements: High school graduate or GED, Strong insurance and customer service background, knowledge of health care administration practices, and knowledge of government reimbursement regulations and requirements.
