FINANCIAL AID REPRESENTATIVE

We are looking for an individual for the following role at the BRAND NEW Sanford Brown Institute campus in Ft Lauderdale:

Help students realize their dreams!

FINANCIAL AID REPRESENTATIVE

Responsibilities:
Complete the Financial Aid process for New Students.
Send repack notification to existing students going into next academic year.
Conduct Financial Aid interview with Existing Students.
Provide Students and Parents with accurate information regarding the reapplication process and their eligibility for State and Federal assistance or alternative financing.
Collect information and determine student's eligibility through as approved need analysis.
Advise student of their obligations to provide information and the resulting consequences when verification or documentation of independent status is required.
Answer student questions concerning their finance package professionally, accurately, and in a positive manner.
Advise student of out of pocket obligation and determine student's best finance options. Continue follow up until it is resolved.
Review student finance application/student loans for completeness and accuracy. Initiate and update appropriate tracking system for applications and missing documentation, which the student must complete.
Perform diligent follow-up on missing paperwork due from students to complete their files in a timely manner.
Conduct student exit interviews to ensure all financial obligations have been met in a timely manner.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager
REQUIREMENTS
At least 2 years of financial aid experience
High School Diploma, Bachelors Degree a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service abilities.
Effective organizational skills.
Computer proficiency.
Previous experience as a bank teller, loan processor or mortgage loan officer is beneficial.
Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes evening and weekend hours.
