FIN - Financial Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst

In addition to our core ratings business, Moody's publishes market-leading credit opinions, deal research and commentary that reach more than 3,000 institutions and 22,000 subscribers around the globe.Business Line: FinancePosition objectives include providing analysis, forecasting and budgeting support to Moody’s business units in Americas region and to Finance management. This position will be actively involved in the analysis, support and forecasting of operating expenses for Americas region. Involvement in various special assignments will also be required. Provide analysis of budget/forecast variance during the monthly closing process and act on results to assist in effective expense management. Provide quarterly forecasts for key operating expense categories. Assist in developing the strategic plan and annual budget for business unit expenses within Americas. Review budget and forecast variances on a monthly basis. Assist in consolidating, reporting and analyzing country-level strategic plan, annual budget and monthly forecasts. Support information needs of Finance and operating managers. Prepare monthly financial outcome schedules to country managers. Assist in maintaining forecast and budget for Moody’s legal entities. Provide various expense-related reports to operating management for review. Participate in special projects as assigned by Finance management.Resumes submitted in Microsoft Word format are preferred.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. 2-3 years experience in financial modeling. Superior PC skills - Windows Environment (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Hyerion/LotusNotes). Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and analytical skills. Hyperion Essbase and Peoplesoft Financials skills a plus.
