External Financial Reporting Advisor

Fortune 100 industry leader seeking an External Financial Reporting Advisor with expert knowledge of corporate SEC filing requirements.

Position has significant exposure to Corporate Controller, CFO, and other corporate senior level management.

-Prepare financial statements and disclosures and coordinates the review process for all SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, and registration filings)
-Develop financial reporting "best practices.”
-Identify and assist in the implementation of improvements to financial reporting processes.
-Determine impact of proposed accounting standards and SEC regulations on the Company's financial disclosures, including drafting new disclosures.
-As necessary, support development of internal accounting policies and other technical accounting projects, particularly those with financial disclosure implications.
-Interact with external auditors on financial reporting matters on annual, interim and special audit work.
REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; CPA REQUIRED. Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting a plus!
-Minimum of 7 years of total business experience, including at least 5 years of public accounting experience. A combination of public & private accounting experience and/or Oil & Gas industry experience is a plus!
-Demonstrated technical accounting and financial reporting excellence; brings knowledge of data processing systems in the financial reporting environment.
-Experience using SAP and/or Hyperion a plus!
