Export Compliance Analyst

As an export compliance analyst, you will to ensure that the compliance programs of assigned Managed Services Clients are compliant with all export control regulations relating to all export transactions, including exports of data (electronic and Deemed Exports), services, and products subject to the Export Administration Regulations. Specifically:

License Determination

License Application and Maintenance

Restricted Party Lists Screening

Anti-boycott Screening

Diversion Risk Screening

End-Use/EPCI Screening

Embargo Screening

ECCN Classification

Record Keeping





Other Responsibilities Include:

Design, develop, document, and audit the compliance-related processes and procedures that support all assigned Managed Services Clients

Provide export compliance awareness training, training on specific export compliance subjects, and training to ensure the consistent execution of documented processes and procedures for Managed Services Clients

Provide Export Operations Trade Analysts with guidance and direction in day-to-day export operations relating to compliance

Conduct and/or participate in internal and external audits and assessments to determine or verify level of compliance of assigned Managed Services Clients compliance programs

Prepare and file all license applications, classification requests, encryption review requests, and commodity jurisdiction requests as required by assigned Managed Services Client.

This position can be located in Tampa, FL or Southfield, MI.
REQUIREMENTS
At least five years experience in Export Compliance relating to the Export Administration Regulations in an operational or consulting environment

Bachelor's Degree in International Trade or Business Administration (or related field with additional international trade experience)

Ability to work independently without daily oversight

Must be able to identify, plan, and execute projects as they arise from periodic assessments, or as compliance issues are identified

Must be able to effectively interact with director-level and above Client executives

Familiarity with common ERP's, e.g. Oracle, SAP, etc.

Familiarity with Vastera's TradeSphere Exporter

Education or experience in high-tech, particularly encryption

Competence in International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)

Competence in export control regulations of the European Union
