Responsibilities:
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the smooth operation and maintenance of assigned locations and/or specific mobile units. The position effectively assists the Area Manager in coordinating daily operations to maximize quality of patient care/image quality, ensures proper equipment performance and controls the cost of providing service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This description is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.
1.Supervises day-to-day activities on units. Acts as the primary interface with customers. Makes decisions regarding additional days of service to client when possible, providing overtime hours and/or make-up hours for down units, calling a system hard down, assisting clients with billing questions and conducting meetings with clients regarding various service issues.
2.Performs direct patient scanning on a regular basis. Prepares staff work assignments and shift schedules, arranging coverage for unexpected absences.
3.Evaluates image quality on a regular basis (such as QA data). Reviews clinical exams with customer radiologist. Critiques positioning, filming, protocols, etc.
4.Conducts employee orientation and education programs (new or existing) as needed.
5.Responsible for timely submittal of patient invoices, employee timesheets, expense reports, service records and all other documentation requiring centralized processing.
6.Ensures clean and safe equipment. Directs completion of routine and emergency repairs when needed. Issues PO’s when appropriate. Ensures staff adherence to all Alliance Imaging policies and procedures. Ensures preventative maintenance program is followed.
7.Prepares systems for accreditation surveys or agency inspections (i.e., fire extinguishers, safety checks, etc.). Assists Human Resources in maintaining current licensing information, including AART, CRT, CPR, etc. for assigned staff.
8.Responsible for maintaining and updating Account Profile information (i.e., imaging protocol management, filming techniques, etc.).
9.Ensures that code-blue and code-red procedures are current and understood by staff.
10.Organizes and reports to Area Manager weekly equipment status worksheet.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and
Strong problem solving abilities and above average interpersonal skills. Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. Prefer a high level of cross-sectional anatomy understanding.
