Strategic innovation through technology is one of the reasons CBOE is an industry leader and the world's largest options marketplace.ExaminerDuties and Responsibilities:· Individual will conduct within a team setting routine main office examinations of designated broker-dealers subject to the net capital rule for possible violations of SEC, FRB and Exchange rules and regulations.· Individual will also review on a monthly basis broker-dealer FOCUS Reports and conduct books and records examinations of sole proprietors, partnership and incorporated broker-dealers.· The individual may also be required to conduct investigations.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:· Work experience required in at least one of the following areas: auditing; securities, commodities or banking regulatory compliance; brokerage accounting or back-office experience in a securities or commodities firm, or bank, specifically related to securities settlement and portfolio balancing, margin, net capital, customer protection or risk control.
· This position requires an individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.· The individual must be detailed oriented and have experience with conceptual work assignments.
· PC skills including Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
· Individual should also have working knowledge of derivatives markets, especially option pricing methodologies combined with good working knowledge of the broader financial markets.
· It is essential that candidates be self-motivated, inquisitive, able to complete projects both working independently and within a team setting and able to make rational judgments on complex matters.· A college degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferred; CPA a plus
