The individual in this position will perform audit procedures as part of the Deloitte's independence quality controls to effectively monitor our people's adherence to firm policy. In addition, this individual will identify and resolve exceptions based on employees' responses to their annual independence representations. This person will coordinate their activities with the other independence audit team members, develop best practices, and collectively develop a base of knowledge used to consistently address issues that arise. The individual will also work closely with other individuals in the Independence, Ethics and Compliance group who resolve issues that arise from information entered by partners and employees into Deloitte's investment tracking and trading system.

 Qualifications:
4
year undergraduate degree (preferably business or accounting)
1-3 years of external audit, internal audit, regulatory compliance or comparable experience (needs to be attentive to detail, possess professional skepticism and have the ability to follow audit programs)
Proficient with technology tools (Microsoft Office applications and database technology)
Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. (needs to feel comfortable communicating with partners and other senior level individuals within the Firm)
Familiarity with personal tax returns (needs the ability to review and cull information from personal tax returns)
