Successful National Corporation located in South Charlotte is currently seeking a highly motivated individual who can work independently. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will be expected to be hands-on with the following responsibilities and skills sets:Responsible for the day-to-day performance of general accountingOversee various aspects of the month-end close, including preparation of journal entries
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Prepare bank reconciliations
Prepare and maintain Sales & Use Tax Returns, Property Tax Returns and Business License’s
Perform financial account analysis
Assist during the year-end financial audit
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years experience in the Accounting profession
Bachelors degree in Accounting
Strong knowledge of general accounting
Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to interface effectively with various departments/external contacts
Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
