EXPO ACCOUNTING ANALYST

Accounting Expo Accounting Analyst Advanstar Communications, a worldwide business communications corporation, seeks a highly motivated, self-directed individual to assume an Expo Accounting Analyst position in the Financial Services department. This position is responsible for assigned accounting and reporting functions, and acts as the primary customer service contact for the expo and conference staff. Responsibilities include gathering information necessary to close the company books, preparing journal entries, reconciling and verifying assigned balance sheet accounts, and reviewing P&L statements for accuracy. In addition, works with show staff in establishing procedures and guidelines, and serves as the onsite financial representative for assigned expos and conferences. Requirements include a four year college degree in Accounting. Advanced Excel skills are necessary; the ability to create complex spreadsheets, including formulas and linking. Skills with attention to detail and accuracy, strong interpersonal and communications skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of management are required. Individual must have the ability to manage multiple and competing tasks and priorities, and have the ability to learn and work with various divisional supporting sub-systems. Up to 20% travel is required.
