Division Controller-Broadcast

Freedom has an immediate opening for Controller for the Broadcast Division of Freedom Communications reporting directly to the VP of Freedom Broadcasting. Our seasoned candidate will administer financial analysis activities and provide analysis and interpretation of financial results for 8 plus television stations. The controller must have division budget consolidation experience and previous experience with monthly closing, quarterly P & L, capital projections, budget packages and acquisitions. The responsibilities for Broadcast Division will include: accounting activities, budgets, financial forecasting, statistical reports, audits, etc including standard cost accounting and analysis procedures.

In addition to providing support to Business Managers this individual will work closely as a liaison to the corporate office and contribute to the success of the business.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Successful candidates must have: 5-10 Years Accounting Experience with 3-Years experience Broadcast facility or as a controller. Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration or Related Field (Emphasis in Accounting, CPA desirable) Solid Experience with General Ledger, A/P, A/R, and monthly and year end financial closing .Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all Levels of the organization .Strong Analytical and Decision Making Skills. Excellent organizational skills including strong ability for multi-tasking and prioritizing. Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office Software, Excel and experience with Great Plains, VCI and Fixed asset (BNA) a plus. Proficient with Data Entry and 10 Key Skills.
