Division Controller
Ledgent is currently working with a major manufacturer to identify and recruit for their confidential need of a Division Controller.
Responsibilities to include:
•Manages the Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Financial Reporting, and Cost Reporting functions and provides accounting support to the Business Units
•Manage the control and reconciliation processes for the general ledger and general financial reporting of the division
•Ensure that the processing of financial information and resultant reporting adheres to both regulatory requirements as well as current company practice and/or procedure (GAAP)
•Manage the inventory and project cost collection, reporting, and reconciliation function
•Provide technical support to both Financial and Inter-Organizational functional management
•Provide audit interpretation and support services to independent financial auditors
•Ensure that proper communication of data requirements results in the minimization of audit expenses
•Provide adherence to technical and regulatory information requests and submittals
•Manage the process to provide relevant, meaningful financial data for consumption by both Finance department and internal / external management consumption
•Provide necessary motivation and growth opportunities for department employees
•Ensure that the budgets and forecasts projected for the company have been analyzed for anticipated result against the current required Accounting treatment and / or company / departmental practices
•Create and maintain the descriptive analysis of current financial practices
•Keep abreast of the required regulatory reporting and technical Accounting process requirements
•Manage the departmental budget
REQUIREMENTS
Educational and certification requirements
•Accounting Degree
•MBA preferred
• Sec filing and Soc Compliance a plusCPA required
