Distribution Center Inbound Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

A.Purpose and Scope
The Receiving Manager is responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient flow of inbound inventory transported to available warehouse storage for easy access for outbound customers.


B.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
·Manage a team of inbound supervisors and associates to safely and accurately transport inventory from receiving to warehouse storage.
·Drive process improvement in safety, inventory accuracy and production efficiency using data driven decisions.
·Communicate with vendors to ensure accurate scheduling and staffing needs
·First point of contact for dispute resolutions
·Cost effectively schedule necessary staff to perform inbound respons
REQUIREMENTS
JOB REQUIREMENTS

A.Qualifications
·College degree is preferred
·Must have 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment
·Demonstrate an ability to adapt to a dynamic work flow of over a million dollars worth on incoming inventory / day
·Strong communication and leadership skills
·Must be highly organized and computer literate

C. Supervisory Experience

At least three years experience managing others in a high pace environment

D. Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the essential duties of this portion, the employee is frequently required to stand and sit for long periods of time, use hands, reach with hands and arms and talk or listen. The noise level in the work environment is usually at a moderate business office level. May be required to lift at least 30 lbs.
