Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity specialist (2785)
Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. Perot Systems is currently looking for a Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity specialist to join our team in the San Francisco, CA Area.Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising the disaster recovery process and developing planning for the disaster recovery
Responsible for long-range disaster recovery planning and to provide the highest level of protection possible
Plans and charts the direction for the disaster recovery process
Establishes procedures and priorities for the disaster recovery process
Coordinates and manages all activities during the disaster recovery process
Reports all hardware and software removed from the scene of a disaster to appropriate personnel
Coordinates and supervises the disaster recovery process and capacity
Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing disaster recovery policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed
Develops and maintains disaster recovery procedures with the various user departments within the enterprise
Performs at or above the enterprise's Information Technology performance standards
Supervise the entire recovery processRequired Skills:
BS or BA degree in computer science, or related field
10 years Information Technology operation with disaster prevention/recovery experience
Disaster recovery certification is a must
Ability to handle full scope supervisory responsibility of 10-15 employees during the disaster recovery process
Knowledge of the hardware, software, network, communications, job control, problem management systems and disaster recovery methodologyPerot Systems is committed to Equal Employment Opportunity.
