Director or Executive Director, Financial Planning and Analysis

Job Summary:This position will play a key role within Time Warner’s Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team directing financial reporting and analysis activities for 2 to 3 operating divisions. Candidate will be responsible for managing all financial reporting, quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, ad hoc analysis, and various special projects.Job Responsibilities:Management of weekly monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis functions at Time Warner Corporate for approximately 2 to 3 operating divisions.
1) Serve as a key liaison between division finance, operational executives and various corporate constituents (including Senior Management).
2) Analyze and communicate weekly metrics, monthly results, quarterly and annual projections. Analyze and communicate risks and opportunities.
3) Review and assist in the preparation of weekly reporting to the CEO, monthly Board materials, CFO and analyst presentations, and quarterly earnings materials.
4) Manage the annual budget process for respective divisions including board communications.
5) Develop knowledge and function as an industry expert for divisions.
6) Participate in special projects liaising with M&A, Strategy, and SVP of Operations.
7) Manage a team in support of FP&A and Time Warner objectives and priorities.Liaison with various groups (Divisions, External Reporting, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, Consolidations, M&A, etc.) to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of consolidated results and related analyses. Coordinate with teams at both the division and corporate levels to drive process improvements and obtain results in an efficient, collaborative manner.Participate and consult across multiple reporting processes such as: Earnings release, External reporting (10Q/10K), internal reporting to Senior Management, periodic reporting to divisional CEOs, various presentations to Senior Management, Board of Directors, Investors, ratings agencies, etc.Responsible for the consolidation and analysis of Budget and Plan information for respective divisions. Assist in the preparation and review of budget materials for the Board. Manage ongoing reporting against budget and Plan objectives. Identify and execute on opportunities to streamline and improve processes and reporting.Other process ownership and various ad hoc projects.Education & Certifications:
BS in Accounting, A CPA with earlier experience in public accounting is required; CPA/MBA preferred.Experience:
9-12 years of high quality, best in class experience gained at well regarded organizations known for their financial rigor and discipline.
Analytical skills with a solid background in accounting and/or finance preferred.
Experience within a media or other consumer products/services driven company would be helpful, but is not essential.Skills:
